My fiancee wants a dachshund. I want a pit bull. I think this would work nicely, except it probably has a dachshund's temperament (read: A LITTLE SHIT) and a pit bull's strong jaws. No thanks.

I have a dachshund beagle mix, very friendly/ clingy to me and my family, but to strangers she does not stop barking. It's annoying

Dachshunds are assholes if they aren't socialized at an early age. They're very protective and bark at anything that moves or makes noise, and they can be quite nasty to other dogs and other dachshunds.

We have a pit/boxer aka Bullboxer. She's fairly petite and as sharp as a bag of wet mice. Here she is nesting like a bird.
